Knight Deviant

A Midsummer Night’s Dream meets The Blair Witch Project in the third installment of Oliver Darkshire’s beloved Household Gramarye series.

It is midsummer, and Deviation approaches: a time the world goes entirely dark, and ancient curses awake. But at the castle of Caer Cravenne, the Castellan’s son, Leander, is preoccupied with his impending arranged marriage. The Marquis Braccio and his devoted knight, Pellinore, have traveled continents to retrieve Leander. But the young lad is having none of it. With his Lizard-man heartthrob, Beaumains, he intends to elope through the Winkledown Woods, home to a powerful and malevolent witch. But as the lovers traverse the cursed woods, with the Marquis and his knight in pursuit, they discover that they are not the only creatures wandering among the trees, and those who enter the Winkledown Woods on Deviation rarely emerge unchanged. . . .

Oliver Darkshire’s uproarious new Household Gramarye novel revels in the series’ rich worldbuilding while reprising beloved characters and walking the razor’s edge between tragedy and comedy during a dark night in the woods.
