Feral Cell

A peddler of dreams and a phantom rock musician cross the boundaries between death and eternity in this fantasy classic by an award-winning author.

« A gifted imagination. . . . Discover Richard Bowes. » — Locus on Warchild

When New Yorkers with lots of money and little imagination want to have fun, they hire Robert Leal. Known as a game master, Leal creates decadent fantasies through interactive theater to distract his patrons from their dull realities, and help him ignore his own decaying mortality. Then he begins hearing the voice of Chris Kane, an old friend who’s been dead for twenty-seven years.

The music of the Feral Cell, Chris’s transdimensional band, becomes inescapable for Robert. He hears it everywhere he goes, calling out to him from an idyllic alternate world threatened by unrelenting evil. Joining forces with Chris, Robert will transcend planes of life and death—flesh in one world and spirit in the other—to face a battle that will unlock the very secrets of his soul.
